Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way Being part of our Legacy of Love will help ensure that we will continue helping those who can not help themselves for many years to come. You will be part of a special group of donors who’ve included Northwoods Animal Shelter in their estate plans either through a will, trust, retirement or life insurance plan, or life income gift such as a charitable gift annuity. You will know you helped save lives. Planned Giving Planned giving is a unique charitable tool that allows you to support the Northwoods Animal Shelter’s life saving work for animals for many years to come while also fulfilling your own financial goals and objectives. Planned gifts include bequests made through your will, gifts that provide income to you and others for life, and gifts of life insurance, charitable lead trusts or retirement plans. These gifts can be made in cash, stocks, bonds, personal property, life insurance and real estate. We encourage you to consult with your tax advisor, attorney or financial planner regarding such gifts.
