Training Your Cat
Contrary to popular belief, cats are trainable. You can teach them useful behaviors as well as novelty tricks. You can even train them to compete in agility
tournaments. Cats respond to positive reinforcement, not negative punishment. Cats are also less instinctively driven to work in partnership with their human
companions.
Behavioral issues aren’t uncommon, but with patience and perseverance, behavior can be changed. Behavior issues that pop up suddenly could be an indication
of discomfort or pain so please contact your vet for a wellness check. Animals can’t tell us what is wrong so they show us in ways that make us think they are
being naughty, when in fact it’s a medical issue.
If you have any questions about your cat, please feel free to
contact us
and we will do our best to give you some tips and advice to help you with your furry
friend.
